You're testing thoughts
That insist that we're the misfortune
Fabrications have been proven wrong
You've put me through torture
So now I sing this song
I'll show the world, and all of it's judgmental eyes
That I have not, I have not, I have not fallen
I preached forgiveness, but oh have I lied
The pain that I burdened
Was crushed when I opened my eyes
This world will not forgive you
And all these words will never take back what was taught
Can't you see I'm not the issue
You can't be saved, you can't be saved from what was said
You're quick to judge a book before you've even read
Don't try and act divine
WE ARE ALL AMONG THE WEAK
Don't try to judge
For we are all among the weak
Don't try to judge
For we are all among the weak
Where will you stand?
When the hunter is hunted
For all of his judgement
This world will not forgive you
And all these words will never take back what was taught
Can't you see I'm not the issue
You can't be saved, you can't be saved from what was said.
You'll never take this life from me
I found myself in the midst of your doubts
Don't try and tell me what I can't be
You'll never take this from me
I've been broken and beaten down
But I have found the light
And it's telling me
To be all that I can
This world will not forgive you
And all these words will never take back what was taught
Can't you see I'm not the issue
You can't be saved, you can't be saved from what was said.
Realistically, I should have bought this album after the first 100 scrobbles of In Reach (Out of Touch), but it's never too late to do the right thing. This has a different atmosphere (and story) than The Lost City, but it's just as good and just as melodic. porcelainheart-
